The millions of supporters we ignore

Couldn”t agree more with Liam Clark. “Any unionists watching the hearing online will have seen how badly their arguments are coming across in America. Some of the Americans seemed ill-informed; one thought there were five counties in Northern Ireland, but none seemed aware of unionist arguments. That represents a long-term failure of communications. The two main unionist parties need to up their game. They haven”t convinced Americans.”

Unionists need someone in America who puts our story across, it would be money well spent given the USAs influence. A friend of mine who is big into the whole Ulster – America history has always said to me, “if Irish republicanism had our history they would be screaming it from the roof tops and gaining support for the good people of Ulster who many Americans do feel an affinity with once educated”. The map below shows the concentrations of millions of “Scotch Irish” largely from Ulster Presbyterian ancestry who are simply ignored. It shouldn”t be the case that only green republicans turn up at every event spreading half truths and propaganda, Ulster people have a much more truthful and honorable story and it needs to be told.
